Cavet Technologies Inc. recently announced its non-exclusive distribution partnership with Sweden-based Elekrolution to sell the LumiSmart ILC (Intelligent Lighting Controller) in the Nordic region, including Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Finland. The LumiSmart ILC is a purpose-build solution that dramatically reduces power consumed by fluorescent lighting systems with no discernable impact on occupant comfort.

Cavet Technologies is currently partnering Bright Negawatts Inc. in North America, the Caribbean and the United Arab Emirates, and Brightpath Technology Ltd. in Europe. Cavet Technologies has engaged Celestica, a global leader in the delivery of end-to-end product lifecycle solutions, to manufacture all LumiSmart ILC, giving Cavet Technologies, its channel partners and customers access to world-class engineering and quality manufacturing.

LumiSmart ILC is the first of a new class of Smart Grid-enabled lighting controllers that provide microprocessor-driven adaptive control of lighting circuits to reduce power consumption while providing an instant 40 per cent or more power reduction without replacing any existing lamps, ballasts or fixtures. The LumiSmart ILC is Internet-ready (with the addition of the upcoming LumiSmart DRC Demand Response Control module) and will enable full remote "command and control" for utilities, property managers and customers, allowing for on-demand reaction to real-time electrical events. Cavets LumiSmart ILC reduces energy consumption at the source easing pressure on the electrical grid resulting in reduced carbon emissions and a smaller carbon footprint for Lumismart users.
